Primary Care FAQs

+ What if I need medical attention while I’m away from home?

Naturally, we provide such care—yet another freedom we enjoy together as a result of Beyond Primary Care’s independence from the restrictions of third-party payment. Because we know you well, we can streamline your care when you’re sick away from home. In the age of telemedicine, many illnesses can be diagnosed and treated with a simple conversation by phone or webcam. We’ll locate the nearest pharmacy and order the medications most appropriate for your present circumstances.

+ Does the membership include any inpatient hospital care?

No, your membership does not cover hospitalization costs. If the physicians at Beyond Primary Care were affiliated with any hospital, we would have to operate according to their rules, which means taking insurance. Our physician is not affiliated with any hospital network. However, in providing superb care with unprecedented sorts of access, we seek to prevent or reduce hospitalizations and specialty referrals. If you need inpatient care, you are free to go to any hospital of your choosing. Wherever you go, we will work closely with your inpatient care team to ensure a seamless transition back to our office.

+ How do I know if this is right for me and my family?

Are you frustrated by the current healthcare system? Do you avoid going to the doctor when you need to because you are afraid of what it will cost? Have you ever received a big surprise bill in the mail weeks after a healthcare encounter? Do you desire a strong doctor-patient relationship? Do you feel like there are barriers between you and your doctor or your child’s doctor? Would you like same-day or next-day appointments that start on time? Would you like to be able to handle simple problems over email, text or telephone with your doctor? If you answered yes to any of these questions, Beyond Primary Care is a great option for you.

+ Can I schedule an appointment without becoming a member?

No. To keep things simple and consistent for all of our patients, we do not provide visits or care outside of our standard membership system.

+ Can I contact my physician after hours?

Yes! Extended access via phone, text or email is one of the greatest benefits of being a patient at Beyond Primary Care.

Legal services such as medical testimony are not included in the membership but are available.

+ Is this the same as concierge medicine?

No, it is not. Concierge medicine does some of the same things but uses what we call a retainer for their services. They charge you a retainer typically in the range of $2000 to sometimes $10,000 / year, but still charge your insurance company for any visits.

+ Does the membership include disability forms?

We do not participate with medical disability documents.

+ What if I need to cancel my membership?

We understand that your needs may change, and we want to help you through whatever transitions you're making. Pursuant to our clinic agreement, we ask for a 30 day notice. If you sign up for an annual term and decide to cancel past the minimum enrollment period, your remaining balance will be refunded without a hassle.
